About phatstuff

The phatstuff name goes back to an earlier project building headphones for DJs. That project taught us something that had nothing to do with sound quality: the gear itself was never the problem. The problem was everything around it. Cables tangled in a bag. Adapters that went missing between gigs. A case that looked fine in the store and fell apart after a month on the road. Good gear kept getting let down by bad support gear.

phatstuff exists to fix that second problem. We sell the accessories that keep a DJ or creator setup organized and working: cable ties, cable tags, trays, cases, and stands. Nothing here plugs in, nothing here needs a battery, and nothing here is trying to be the star of your setup. It is here to make sure the star of your setup, your decks, your controller, your camera, your interface, actually works when you need it to.

The idea for this store came from a familiar moment: teardown at 3am, house lights up, everyone else already gone, and you are on your hands and knees looking for a cable that was definitely in the bag five minutes ago. That is where gear gets lost, damaged, or left behind. It is not glamorous, and it is exactly the moment we build for.

Everything we list is tested on a real desk before it goes on the site. We are not interested in stocking a catalog of look-alike accessories just to have more SKUs. If something does not hold up to actual use, cables that don’t stay cinched, a tray that flexes under weight, a case with a zipper that fails early, it does not get listed, or it gets pulled.

We are a small operation, run under ConnectEngine LLC, a Wyoming company. We ship from US warehouses and answer support email ourselves. No powered gadgets, no clutter, no gimmicks. Just the passive accessories that keep your setup organized, so the gear you actually care about stays protected and ready.
